OnAir is a video streaming application designed to be used as a remote video surveillance system. However OnAir may be used as a video conference application too. On Air uses the RTP/UDP protocol for multimedia networking. It supports unicast or multicast IP networks. In order to obtain better results I suggest to use multicast group IP if it available. For video you may use any USB WEB CAM that support Microsoft VfW capture driver or compatible. You may choose different video and sound formats to accommodate to your network bandwidth. Obviously it is necessary to use the same audio format on all the instances running on remote hosts. However, the video system does not require special formats since it use a unique compress format on all instances. You must set the IP address of any contributor in the configuration file or by a double click on the appropriate video render. You may use a chat room in order to communicate and send text files to the participants. Also you may record your session. You must have installed the Microsoft MPEG-4 version2 video codec on your computer in order to make movies. For NT systems you may use the GmaxService for video surveillance. This version of GmaxService does not provide record capabilities but the release version does.
