Born on May 31, 1965, in New York, Brooke Christa Shields began her acting career in 1978 in the film Alice, Sweet Alice. Shields next film was in Pretty Baby, she then appeared in The Doctors, The Muppet Show, Tilt and King of the Gypsies. In 1980 Shields was in one of her best known roles as Emmeline in the film The Blue Lagoon. Shields then tool roles in TV shows including Change of Heart, The Diamond Trap, Brenda Starr and Speed Zone!. From 1996 Shields spent four years playing the lead role of Susan Keane Browne in the TV series Suddenly Susan. Shield has since been in Scratching the Surface, The Weekend, Black and White, The Bachelor, What Makes a Family and Widows. |
