UUID Generator is freeware created for promoting our new Directory service. This is a good way for any site (in this case us) to get maximum exposure from the internet. The term GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) is generally used for Microsoft technologies, while UUID is used everywhere else. UUIDs are used in programming as database keys, component identifiers, or just about anywhere else a truly unique identifier is required.
